Olive Picking

Many hands make light work of these olives destined for cold press.

Planting on a spot that ‘seemed good for it’ the olive grove is a small part of the 60-acre school farm, an enterprise for Flinders Island District High School. What a cool idea!

Tenderly cared for (after a few years of disruption to the plantation) pruning brought these trees back to life and the 2013 yield is proof in the pudding.

Kitchen garden + education = awesome!
